THE HUMMINGBIRD EFFECT explores the dazzling diversity of hummingbirds in Costa Rica and the outsize effect they have on their wild forest kingdoms. Currently nominated for an EMMY Award for OUTSTANDING NATURE DOCUMENTARY. Finalist at the 2023 JACKSON WILD MEDIA AWARDS for Best Animal Behavior Film, winner of the Prix de l’image at the Nature Namur Int’l Film Festival. Produced with Coneflower Studios for NATURE / PBS and Terra Mater Studios.
THE LINE goes inside Navy SEAL Team 7’s deployment to Mosul, Iraq and the investigation into the platoon's allegations that their own Chief committed war crimes. The court martial that followed became the biggest war crimes trial in a generation, revealing a nation deeply divided over how we fight war. Doug directed and produced this 4-part series for Jigsaw Productions and Apple TV+, and THE LINE was nominated for two 2022 Documentary EMMY Awards: BEST DOCUMENTARY and OUTSTANDING INVESTIGATIVE DOCUMENTARY.
